Here you can find the answers to some frequently asked questions how to gain access to our Live Webinars and the Webinar Archives.

These two services are offered on the subsites:

  • mav.imavf.org – for MAV doctors and practitioners
  • mat.imavf.org – for Maharishi Aroma Therapy consultants

 
Only if you are known to us as a health professional trained in one or both of these areas of MAV, you will be granted access to the corresponding subsite(s). If you think, we have not opened all the subsites for you which you actually deserve, or if you have any other questions, please do not hesitate to contact us at info@imavf.org.

  • For which account type should I register: Affiliate or Webinar Participant?

    To be able to participate in a Live Webinar or view recorded webinars in the Webinar Archive, you have to register either as Affiliate or as Webinar Participant (at imavf.org/registration/).

    It is only possible to register for one of the 2 account types, either Affiliate or Webinar Participant:

    • As Affiliate you can participate in webinars for a reduced fee and you do not have to register in addition as Webinar Participant.
    • As Webinar Participant you can only participate in webinars and you cannot use all the other services open for Affiliates (see imavf.org/benefits).

     
    The Affiliate fee is 80 € per year (40 € for developping countries), whereas there is no fee for registering as Webinar Participant.

    However, Affiliates only pay 10 € for a webinar — besides many other advantages — whereas non Affiliates pay 20 €.

    This means if you plan to attend at least 8 webinars, you are better off as Affiliate (for participants from developping countries already with 4 webinars). If you also plan to attend health related courses at MERU or the biennial International Ayurveda Congress (Affiliates get discounts for both), then not signing up as Affiliate does not really make sense, because you would loose opportunities to save money.

    If you still don’t want to sign up as Affiliate, you have to register as Webinar Participant. This account type is free of any subscription charge.

  • I signed up as Affiliate. How do I book a Webinar?

    We assume you have already successfully registered as Affiliate. For those paying by bank transfer this means, the affiliate fee has been received on the bank account of IMAVF.

    Then first log in with your user name and password (at imavf.org/login). The menu will change and under News & Events you will find the submenu option Live Webinars and there the options for the different types of webinars (each group of professionals like MAV, MAT etc. have there own webinar section). Click on the option which fits to you to enter the subsite where the services for your profession group are offered and view the list of all offered webinars.

    To pay for the desired webinar, click on the Pay now button. You will be forwarded to the checkout page. All the personal information which you already entered when you signed up as Affiliate will be displayed and you may make changes if necessary. Click on the PayPal Check out button and you will be guided to the PayPal page where you can make your payment.

    When PayPal has accepted your payment details, you will be referred back to the checkout page of the IMAVF website. Click Complete Payment as the last step. Only after this step the payment will be processed by PayPal. You will receive a receipt for the payment by email.

    Note: The fee for webinars cannot be paid by bank transfer.

  • I do not want to sign up as Affiliate. How do I book a Webinar?

    If you do not want to register as Affiliate – think twice whether it might not be more benefical for you to become Affiliate – you have to register as Webinar Participant (at imavf.org/registration/). This is a free account (no subscription fee), but you pay 20 € per webinar (instead of 10 € for Affiliates).

    After registration as Webinar Participant the menu option News & Events will have the suboption Live Webinars under which you find the option for your profession. Make sure you are logged in, otherwise this option is hidden. Click on it and you will see the list of all offered webinars for your profession.

    To pay for the desired webinar, click on the Pay now button. You will be forwarded to the checkout page.     When the payment process is completed successfully, you will be referred back to the checkout page of the IMAVF website. Click Complete Payment as the last step. Only after this step the payment will be processed by PayPal. You will receive a receipt for the payment by email.

  • What are the benefits of a Webinar Subscription and how does it work?

    Besides the booking of individual webinars it is possible to purchase Webinar Subscriptions for defined series of webinars. This has 2 advantages:

    1. a lower total fee, like 10 webinars for the price of 8
    2. more convenient as only one payment has to be made.

     
    The subscriptions are available for Affiliates and Webinar Participants, but they actually only make sence for Affiliates, as for the same total price or even less you receive the benefits for Affiliate in addition.

    When you purchase a subcription, all upcoming webinars of the series will be opened automatically for you. Also all recordings in the webinar archive belonging to the series will be made accessible to you. This is done manually by a member of our team and might take up to 24 hours.

    Please note that already paid fees for individual webinars will not be refunded, when a subscription is purchased later on.

  • What is PayPal?

    PayPal is an online payment service. It allows instant payment either with your own PayPal account or directly with your credit card, even without the need for opening a PayPal account. The PayPal service is available in most countries of the world.

    If you do neither have a PayPal account nor a credit card, please ask a relative or friend who does to make the payment for you. If all that should not work out for you, please contact us at least 1 week before the webinar so that we can find a solution for you.

  • How do I join a Webinar for which I am registered?

    This applies to both account types, Affiliate and Webinar Participant.

    Make sure you are logged in (at imavf.org/login). When you open the Live Webinars page (from the News & Events menu), you will see that the button for the corresponding webinar changed to Enter now. Clicking on it will guide you to the webpage for the webinar, on which you find dates and times, the schedule and most important the link to the conference room of the Zoom web conference service. The link will be active only 15 minutes before the webinar starts and clicking on it will open the access page to the Zoom conference room.     Important: Everytime you want to access the webinar page, please log in first. You cannot access the page from the menu, when you are not logged in.

  • What happens after the Live Webinar is over?

    We record each webinar and make the video accessible in the Webinar Archive (under menu option News & Events). Those who paid already for the live webinar will be able to access the recorded video for free, all others can purchase access for the same price as for the live webinar (10 € for Affiliates, 20 € for Webinar Participants). Please be aware that it will take a few days before the edited recording will be online.
  • Can I get an idea of how these Webinars play themselves out?

    Yes, in the Webinar Archive you will find some recorded webinars which you can access for free. Please log in first, then the Webinar Archive can be found under menu option News & Events.
  • Can I upgrade from Webinar Participant to Affiliate?

    Yes, it is possible to change your status from Webinar Participant to Affiliate later on. All webinars for which you have registered already as Webinar Participant remain accessable for your as Affiliate, but you will not be refunded for already paid webinars.

    When you would like to change from Webinar Participant to Affiliate, first log in with your user name and password (at imavf.org/login). Select the menu option Account and click the link Change. Click the Select button in the Affiliate section. You will be guided to the checkout page.
