Ayurveda on the move in Latin America
There are many good news about the increasing interest in Ayurveda in the countries of Latin America. Here we present just a few of them.
Carl Camelia, founder & President of Maharishi University for Latin America and the Caribbean (UMLAC), recently paid a visit to Cuba, where with Dr Nelly Cristina Valdivia Ortega, Director of the Pancha Karma Center La Pradera, met with Dr Celia del Toro Hung, Director of the Traditional & Natural Medicine Program of Calixta García Hospital in Havana where agreements were made between UMLAC, the Calixta García Hospital and the Pancha Karma Center La Pradera to train MD’s in Maharishi AyurVeda.
Certificates were awarded to participants in the workshop A Taste of MAV, offered in Cuba by Dr Geman Martina, professor of Integrative Medicine at IMLAC, and Carl Camelia.
In November 2019 Carl Camelia gave a presentation at the International Veda Conference in Trinidad on how to integrate Modern Medicine and Ayurveda in one integrative curriculum to train medical doctors.
In October 2019 Carl Camelia gave a lecture in Cancún México on how Apitherapy may be integrated in Ayurveda.
In November 2019 in Madrid, Carl Camelia is member of the panel of the 1st Conference on Integrative Medicine.
